Rev. Kelly McMaster, MSW, LSW
Rev. Kelly McMaster has been with Hope Alive Counseling since 1998, providing Biblically based counseling to residents all across Defiance, Henry, Fulton, Paulding, Putnam, Van Wert, and Williams Counties.
In 1997, Rev. McMaster graduated from The Ohio State University with her Masters degree in Social Work. She completed her Bachelor of Science studies from The Defiance College, Taylor University (formerly Fort Wayne Bible College), and CTC (Christian Training Center) also located in Fort Wayne.
After earning her undergraduate degrees from The Defiance College, she spent nine years as a licensed social worker working for governmental and private agencies ministering to local families affected by abuse and neglect. She and her husband have also served as youth pastors and associate pastors in area churches helping with teaching, pastoral counseling, music, and mission ministries for the past 30 years.
Kelly loves working with couples and finds great joy working with children and teens with practical day-to-day issues. Teaching others to work through tough times and find the joy of Christ in their lives is what keeps Kelly studying and learning current and up-to-date counseling methods. She has been a licensed social worker since 1990 and a licensed minister since 1998.
Kelly, her husband Dave, and their five children: Madeleine, Claire, Shea, Liam and Sydney currently live in Defiance.
